4.5 stars. If you can only get one item, get their strawberry croissant! The cream (custard?) they use in their strawberry croissant is soooooo good. The best cream I've had in a croissant. There was a line when I got there, but it moved fast. It moved so fast that I was kinda nervous about what to do - I mean, I needed more time to look at all the options and debate (internally) about how many pastries I can reasonably eat in a day. I would've gotten more, if it weren't for the fact that I had big lunch + big dinner plans. The Azuki Cream was just okay - solid red bean pastry, but strawberry croissant was SO good that I wished I could've eaten more. They do have bigger pre-packaged boxes for the strawberry croissants (I can see why now), but there was a sign that said it was best eaten on the day of. I'm not really a fan of their store layout, just because it's difficult as a first-timer to remember what I want (you don't have space to backtrack and look at the options) + you don't really have time to explore the other part of the store that had more bread/goodies.
Cream Pan never disappoints when I'm craving strawberry croissants. Even though i probably only need 4-6 for my family of 4, we always get the catered tray because we always want leftovers to eat the next day..lol. I haven't tried any of their other baked items except for their strawberry croissants and fresh baked bread. But honestly their strawberry croissants is what they are most known for! If you've never tried them before, you need to go and get yourself a catered tray of them!! I would've given 5 stars, but gave 4 because I wish the staff can be friendlier. A smile can go a long way.
Delicious strawberry croissants! Perfect for any event! I brought these to a corporate event and everyone loved them
First time going here! Was told this place had good pastries! When I went this place was poppin! Line out the door but fairly fast moving! The place inside was nice and welcoming felt like i was going to a loved ones house or my friends place. I didn't really know what to get and wasn't in line to really have the full experience I was on the side just waiting for my friends to finish ordering but I did receive two items that my friend bought me. It was their hotdog which is not pictured and this pastry with filling inside i forget the names of both but this one that is pictured has which seems to look like red bean. Anyways I really enjoyed it! Soft and not too sweet and it was very tasty! When I'm in the area again I definitely will have to try their other stuff!
Cream Pan has become one of my favorite pastry spots. I've brought their strawberry croissants to a few parties and even given them as gifts. They are always a hit! The strawberry croissants can be bought individually ($2.40 each), but you can find them packaged in a container of 6 ($14) or tray of 25 ($56). This is a take-out establishment and the line starts when you walk through their doors. The lines can get really long on the weekends, so I try to come in between peak hours to beat the rush. Their stuff seems to sell out on busier days too. I'll definitely keep coming back to try more things on their menu.
I didn't know this OC staple had savory options! Ordering felt like a rushed process, so I just got the crowd favorites, Strawberry Croissant & Strawberry Banana Croissant. Due to the lack of indoor seating and limited outdoor seating, this bakery is more like a casual grab-and-go with notoriously long lines. I think our croissants tasted good, but not great. Definitely grabbing onigiri next time.
I love cream pan! The curry pan (beef) is so juicy and filling. I love air frying this once I get back home and it's usually still tender and piping hot after! The strawberry croissant is my absolute favorite - no other bakeries can make it quite as well as this one. It's the perfect level of sweetness and cream and the strawberries don't taste sour! I've never tried the banana strawberry pastry before but I really enjoyed how big and filling it was. I'm looking forward to coming back! I came on a Sunday morning around 8AM and there was no line. However, there isn't much time to pick and choose as the staff are the ones are grab it for you, so I went off of what I had seen on Yelp reviews. There are a lot of non pastry options as well, such as onigiri and sashimi.
This bakery is a gem in Orange County! The Japanese style bakery is tucked away in the city of trees. From the outside, the building of the bakery appears old and quite dull. It is not what I expected from a place that is widely acclaimed and highly rated in the community. But, you should never judge a book by its cover. Inside the bakery was quite small and quaint. There's a rope to indicate the area where the line is supposed to be. I imagine the line might flow out the door at times, when it gets busy. To the left you will see the glass window with the baked goods that are still available. I was pleasantly surprised to find that there were some strawberry croissants still left. The strawberry croissants are what this bakery is most known for, so naturally I had to try them. The strawberry croissants were delicious! They had just the right amount of custard to fruit. And the croissant itself still had a light and airy texture, with a slight crunch. The perfect ratio of salty and sweet! The dust of powdered sugar really topped it all off nicely. The fruit tart was also extremely good. The fruit was very fresh and the custard was not over powering. The crust paired well and balanced out the sweetness of the fruit. It is no wonder that this bakery is rated so highly. The treats are absolutely amazing. I would recommend this gem to anyone in Orange County!
How have I never been to Cream Pan until now? Have I been living under a rock?! Clearly not, because I have had them over the last 10 years. Over and over and over again as my co workers kept bringing them to work for various celebrations and events and what not. And for the same reason, I was tasked this time around to place the order and pick up for my company event. I called on a Friday morning for a Monday morning pickup - an order of 25 strawberry croissants. I arrived about 10 minutes early and my order was ready and waiting for me in the fridge. This is A+ service! Since this was on my way to work - I picked up some of their pork buns too because I love pork buns and they are freshly made sooooo how could I resist?! You're right, I couldn't! And. I wasn't disappointed! It was so good!!! Andddd bonus! I never realized how extremely close it is to my house and how on the way to work it is for me! ... did I mention, it is both on the way to work AND close to my house? um yup. Those two together, may make this a very dangerous place for me! Haha. All jokes aside (or maybe not haha!), glade I finally came around to actually coming to Cream Pan. The inside of the store is really cute, and I can't wait to try more of what this bakery has to offer! If you haven't tried Cream Pan yet, you are definitely missing out!
